Standards

Editorial Policy

Last updated:

How content on matheusvizotto.com is researched, written, fact-checked, and corrected. The standards behind every post, resource, and recommendation. If a post does not live up to these standards, it gets fixed or pulled — not buried.

Who writes this content

Every blog post, resource, and recommendation on matheusvizotto.com is written and edited by Matheus Vizotto, a Growth Marketing Manager based in Sydney, Australia. No ghostwriters, no content agencies, no automated content farms. When I do not know something, I say so. When I have first-hand experience with something, I show the work.

How content is researched

Most posts start from work I am already doing — campaigns I run, tools I test, systems I build for VenueNow or for my own projects. Anything claimed as a result is tied to a real campaign, a real number, or a real workflow. When I cite external data, I link to the primary source: company blogs, official documentation, peer-reviewed research, government data, or first-party reports. I avoid SEO content farms, regurgitated listicles, and unsourced AI summaries. Sources are weighted by reliability: - Tier 1: Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, Microsoft, GitHub, peer-reviewed research, government data (ABS, BLS), W3C, official product documentation. - Tier 2: Established trade press (HBR, MIT Sloan, Reuters, FT), recognised analyst firms (Gartner, Forrester, McKinsey), industry-trusted blogs. - Tier 3: First-hand reports, established practitioner blogs, niche newsletters with track record. If a source is not in those tiers, I either find a primary one or do not include the claim.

How AI is used in writing

I use AI tools (primarily Claude Code) as a drafting and editing partner — generating outlines, stress-testing structure, surfacing counter-arguments, and proofreading. Every published sentence is reviewed and approved by me. AI never publishes content unsupervised on this site. When a post is heavily AI-assisted in drafting, the experience and judgments expressed remain my own. AI cannot substitute for first-hand work, and I do not pretend it can.

Fact-checking and accuracy

Statistics, dates, product names, and pricing are verified at time of publishing. For time-sensitive claims (pricing, feature lists, product status), I check the source within 24 hours of publishing. Posts are revisited periodically. Significant changes to underlying facts trigger an update — visible at the top of the post — rather than a silent edit.

Corrections policy

If you find an error — factual, technical, or attribution — email hello@matheusvizotto.com. I will: 1. Verify the issue within 48 hours. 2. Update the post with the correction. 3. Add a note at the bottom of the post acknowledging what was changed and when. 4. Credit the reporter unless they prefer to remain anonymous. Corrections are public, not hidden. The original error remains visible in the change note so readers can see what was claimed before.

Affiliate and sponsored content

If a post contains affiliate links or has been sponsored, it will be clearly disclosed at the top of the post. As of this version of the policy, the site does not run sponsored content and any affiliate links are limited to tools I personally use and would recommend regardless of compensation. Recommendations are never based on commercial relationships. I have refused affiliate offers from products I do not trust.

Independence

This site is not affiliated with any vendor whose products I write about. My day job at VenueNow does not influence what gets published here. I write about Claude Code because I use it, not because Anthropic asked me to. I write about Obsidian because it runs my work, not because anyone paid for placement.
